Today I went to the farmer's market in the morning and bought some Jerusalem artichokes (I wonder why they are called Jerusalem... do artichokes come from Jerusalem?... perhaps they do), the very nice farmer who sold them to me gave me 5 seed Jerusalem artichokes (like mini potatoes chits), he said if I wait until the frost is past and then plant them (north side of the garden because they grow tall like sunflowers apparently) come November I will have loads of artichokes to eat through the winter... that was kind... I hope I like them. I've never had them before. I am going to roast them along with a piece of rolled stuffed belly pork.
Its started snowing again... you can get tired of a good thing you know... my daughter fell over yesterday and you should see the bruise on her arm.
Please forgive the brevity and lack of photos... (artichokes are just not photogenic) and bruises just too gory.
